UI/UX design education
open to learners from anywhere
Gothermyx runs its UI/UX design curriculum in English, with all materials, feedback sessions, and resources fully accessible online. Students based outside Canada study the same content, complete the same project-based assignments, and participate in the same live sessions as local participants. The program operates on a structured schedule that accounts for different time zones, with recorded sessions available for review. There are no residency requirements and no prerequisite design qualifications — only a stable internet connection and willingness to engage with the work.
What international participation actually involves
Practical details about how the program works for students studying from outside Canada.
Live sessions and time zone accommodation
Live webinar sessions are scheduled with UTC offsets published at least two weeks in advance. Students in UTC−8 through UTC+9 typically find at least two viable session slots per week without significant disruption to their schedule. Every live session is recorded and uploaded within 24 hours, so missing a session due to time difference does not result in lost content. Recordings include the full Q&A segments, not just the lecture portion. Gothermyx does not offer custom session scheduling for individual students, but the rotation of session times across the week is designed to distribute the inconvenience fairly across time zones.
Language and materials
All instruction, written materials, assignments, and feedback are in English. There are no translated versions of course content. Students whose first language is not English participate regularly and without reported difficulty, though a working reading proficiency in English is a practical necessity. Slide decks, reference guides, and project briefs are available for download throughout the program duration.
Payment and currency
Enrolment fees are listed in Canadian dollars. International payment methods including major credit cards and common digital payment platforms are accepted. Currency conversion is handled by the payment processor at the current exchange rate. There are no additional fees applied to international transactions on the Gothermyx side, though individual banks may apply their own conversion charges.
No visa or travel required
The program is entirely online. No travel to Calgary is required at any point, and there is no component of the curriculum that requires in-person attendance. Students do not need a Canadian study permit or visa to participate. The program is not a degree-granting institution and does not issue documents for immigration purposes.
Software and tools
The curriculum uses Figma as the primary design tool, which runs in a browser and requires no local installation. A free Figma account is sufficient for all coursework. Additional tools referenced during the program include open-source or freely accessible options. Students are not expected to purchase software to complete the course.
Getting started as an international participant
The enrolment process for international students follows the same steps as for anyone else, with a few additional things worth knowing before you register. The sequence below reflects what typically happens from first contact to first session.
Check the upcoming session schedule
Session dates and times are listed on the webinars page with UTC times displayed alongside local Calgary time. Cross-reference with your local time zone before registering to confirm the schedule works for your situation.
Contact us with any specific questions
If you have questions specific to your country or situation — internet access requirements, tool availability in your region, or anything else — email contact@bepooke.club before enrolling. Response time is typically within two business days.
Complete enrolment through the standard process
Registration uses the same form for all participants. You will receive access credentials and a welcome document that includes session links, tool setup instructions, and the first week's materials within 48 hours of confirmed payment.
Set up your tools before the first session
The welcome document includes a setup checklist covering Figma account creation, session platform access, and a short orientation video. Working through this before your first live session takes about 30 to 45 minutes and prevents most common technical issues.
